ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jane

I started teaching yoga classes in 2017 after completing a 200hr power yoga teacher training course.  Prior to that I had been attending regular classes about three times a week and decided I wanted to deepen my yoga knowledge.  Teaching took me out of my comfort zone, but when lockdown happened I moved from a weekly class at my tennis club to regular daily online classes and this has progressed to teaching my studio classes in Southfields which I really enjoy.

I previously worked full-time as a Personal Assistant, mainly in the sports industry, which was long and often irregular hours,  but now I have a good split between part-time office work and teaching yoga.

I have always been sporty - I play tennis regularly and enjoy walking and golf, especially when the weather is good - and have found yoga to be hugely complementary to other activities.   If you enjoy activities such as running, cycling, tennis or golf I thoroughly recommend trying some yoga stretches to aid recovery, improve your fitness, balance and wellbeing, or join my online or in-person classes.

Yoga is all about balance, breath and self discovery.  I am interested in helping each person who joins my class to discover the benefits of yoga for themselves, whether it be helping with sleep, achieving greater flexibility, strength or balance or just calming the mind.   I enjoy seeing the progress my students make, especially those who are new to yoga, and I look forward to helping you achieve your own goals.

When I'm not teaching I like to travel, try my hand at calligraphy and go for long walks.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

"Attending Jane's yoga classes regularly has helped me with my back problems and keeps my blood pressure down ....... she finds the perfect balance between a good workout, plenty of stretches and breathing techniques."
